Voorwoord Marisol Casado bij de start Vrouwenweek 2020

Dear Friends,

It is for me an honor to be here with you all and supporting your initiatives. Throughout my career, and even before I was involved in our beloved sport of triathlon, I
had a great relationship with my friends in the Netherlands. Their approach to life, their strong character, always critic but on a positive way, and also always sincere and supportive, has been a great reference for me, and I can proudly say that I see your approach to our sport in a similar way to my vision, for sport and for life.

As you all know, I have been working on gender balance in sport for a long time now, and it has always been one of my priorities. And I can proudly say that the work that we all are doing, on personal, local, national and international levels, is starting to show up. Of course, there is still room for improvement, and still many things to do and glass ceilings to break, but we are moving in the right direction.

Your critic spirit and your efficiency will be vital to keep moving and implementing measures towards gender balance, and I am 100% convinced that with the help and support of all, we will get there.

You can always count on my support to all initiatives on this direction, and you can always be sure that I will keep pushing on that way as well in all my commitments, as it will be also one of the main points in my agenda for my candidacy for another term as President of World Triathlon.

Again, best of luck, and count with all my support
